Cram Web Portal Answers
- How do you create a test online?

1. First make sure you have signed in using your username and password online.
2. At the top of page, below "My Tests", click on "Create Test".
3. Assign a Test Name, and select your sharing options.
4. The test has now been created, you may now add questions either individually or by using the answer pool (more on the answer pool below)?
- How do you upload a test online?

1. Create a new plain text document(.txt) in your favorite text editor such as Word, Notepad, WordPad, TextEdit etc, and make sure it is in plain text .txt format, or uploading/importing of test may not work properly.
2. In the text document:
-Place your question on a single line.
-On the very next line insert your answer choices, with each on on their own line (up to 5 answer choices)
-Denote the correct answer by placing two asterisks (**) before the answer.
-Finally, insert a blank line following the last answer choice.
-Repeat this process for adding additional questions. Please reference our sample test for clarity.

1. First make sure you have signed in using your username and password online.
2. At the top of page, below "My Tests", click on "Upload Test".
3. Click on "Browse" and select the desired formatted test you would like to open.
4. Click on "Upload".
5. You should now see a screen that tells you that your upload was successful.
- How do you edit your web account?

1. First make sure you have signed in using your username and password online.
2. At the top of page, below "My Tests", click on "Edit Account".
3. Make any desired changes, and click on the "Save Changes" button.
- How do you change your password?

You must make these changes through your web account page. Directions on making web account changes are above.
- How do you edit the public username and password that you set for others to use to download your tests?

1. First make sure you have signed in using your username and password online.
2. NOTE: This public username and password is for you to specifically assign for your friends, classmates, teachers, and colleagues to use when accessing/downloading your created tests. This will allow your account to stay private.
3. At the top of page, below "My Tests", click on "Edit Public Username/Password".
4. Create the username and password that you will disclose to others (this is different than your username/password for your Cram account).
5. Click on the "Save Changes" button.
- How do I manage tests?

1. First make sure you have signed in using your username and password online.
2. On the main page, find the desired test you would like to manage from the list.
3. Click on "Manage" under the test name.
4. From here you can edit your test, create questions, delete questions, and more.
- How do I edit a test question (without using the answer pool)?

1. From the manage test screen select the desired test that you would like to edit.
2. From your list of questions, select "Edit" underneath the desired test question you would like to edit.
3. From here you can add or edit answers, edit the question, and select a different answer.
4. After you have made your changes, click the "Save Changes" button.
- How do I add a test question (without using the answer pool)?

1. From the manage test screen select the desired test that you would like to edit.
2. Underneath the title of the test, click on "Add Question".
3. Add the questions and answers, and click on "Save Question" if you are only adding one question, and "Save & Add Another Question" if you are adding multiple questions.
- How do I delete a test question?

1. From the manage test screen select the desired test that you would like to edit.
2. Find the question you would like to delete from the question list.
3. Underneath the desired question, click on "Delete".
4. You will be asked if you are sure if you want to delete the question, select yes or no, and if you select yes the question will be removed from the test.
- If I add a question to a particular test after it was downloaded by another user, will they know or be able to see the added question?

No. The test will need to be downloaded again by the user to see updates to the test.
- What is the answer pool?
-
The answer pool is a feature which allows you to dump all of the answers to your questions in one form field, and later select them from a drop down under each question. The answer pool reduces the time it takes to create a test.
- How do I use the answer pool?

1. From your manage test screen, underneath the name of the test, select "Answer Pool".
2. Add one answer per line.
3. After you are done, click on "Save Answers".
4. Once this is done, you will receive a message that your "Answer Pool Successfully saved."
5. Click on "Back to Manage Test", and this will take you back to the main test screen where you can now add your questions using the answer pool.
- How do I edit a test question using the answer pool?

1. From your manage test screen, underneath the desired question click on "Edit using Pool".
2. This option will allow you to edit your question and the answer by simply clicking on the "answer pool" drop down menu. The other (incorrect) answer choices are automatically populated for this question.
3. Make your desired changes.
4. Click on the "Save Changes" button.
- How do I add a test question using the answer pool?

1. From your manage test screen, underneath the name of the test, select "Add Question Using Pool".
2. Add your question in the question form field, and select the correct answer to that question from the "answer pool" the drop down menu on this page. The other (incorrect) answer choices are automatically populated for this question.
3. Click on "Save Question" to simply add one question or "Save & Add Another Pool Question" to add more questions.
- Do I have to share my uploaded tests and test created online with the Cram community?

No. Your tests are your tests. Sharing your test with the Cram community is your opt-in feature. We would like the fellow 'Crammers' to share tests they have created to save the trouble for another fellow 'Crammer' that wants to review the same material, but again the choice is yours.
